OneGMS Pro Tip - Validating Timelines Change in Project Revision - September 2025

POSTED BY Nathalie.fimognari | 18 Sep 2025 |

When a project revision affects reporting requirements – namely in changes of duration (NCE) and/or budget extensions(CE), HFU must validate timeline changes before generating the Grant Agreement Amendment (GAA). This ensures consistency in the GAA and helps catch potential OM gaps.

If the below steps are not completed or if the stage is not reached or passed, the HFU will not be able to generate the GAA, as per the below scenario.

What to Check:

  1. Timeline Adjustments
  • If new OMs apply due to the revision, update the project timelines accordingly.
  • Go to the Revision Timelines tab (visible once the revision reaches “GA Amendment Preparation”).

👉 Look for remarks indicating required changes.

⚠️ Note: If no new OMs are applied, the Revision Timelines tab will not appear.

  1. Required Waivers
  • When a project revision introduces new assurances that go beyond existing modalities or conflicting reporting modalities, they must be waived by the Fund Manager — HFUs cannot take this action. This needs to happen at the GA Amendment Preparation stage to allow for the generation of the GAA.
  • The waiver process happens directly in the Revision Timelines tab. HFUs will see an alert in the Remarks/OMID line: “No OM was identified based on revision budget and/or duration (…). " The Fund Manager will be able to add the canceled Assurances from the right-hand column.

👉 In short: HFUs can view the requirement, but only the Fund Manager can complete the waiver by adding the canceled assurances.
